A born and bred Novocastrian, Katie completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales, graduating with a BMed/MD with distinction. After completing her hospital training at Prince of Wales Hospital and returning to Newcastle for GP training, she achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2022. She was also awarded the 2022 RACGP GP in Training of the Year for NSW.
