As of 16/03/2020 MMC is reducing access to our site in order to support the social isolation required to limit the spread of covid-19. Effectively limiting the spread could reduce the death rate from a potential 4-5% to .5%.
When you book an appointment, if you are part of a ‘vulnerable group’ and your needs don’t require face to face contact you will be offered a telephone consultation.

Our staff will ask questions to see if you fit into these groups.
Test kits are limited so there is strict criteria for eligibility for testing. You must have been overseas in the last 14 days or have been in contact with a confirmed case AND have flu-like symptoms. Our staff will ask you questions to to see what the best next step is for you. If you have flu-like symptoms, please DO NOT enter our practice. Self-isolate and ring us on 4968 2157 for assistance.
To limit contact, reducing the chance of exposure, we are asking patients who drive here to remain in their cars and call us on arrival; we will let you know when to enter the building. If you are arriving by public transport and are able to call before you enter it is appreciated. You might go for a stroll or sit on our seat outside, keeping 1.5 metres away from other people whilst you wait to be called in.
Even if you are young and fit, it is important to limit your exposure to other people during this crucial time, you don’t want to be responsible for infecting your or someone else’s grandparent, baby or immuno compromised loved one.
