Our preference with existing patients is to have an initial telephone consult. If your doctor feels you need to be seen, you will be offered an onsite appointment. Government has mandated criteria for bulk billing telephone consults. If you don’t fit this criteria you will be privately billed.
The Morrison Government has withdrawn the Covid-19 incentive to bulk-bill telephone consultations as of 01/10. The incentive was essential to support the bulk billing we have provided over the past 6mths. To maintain the quality services our patients need and deserve, MMC will revert to our pre-Covid practice of private billing on 01/10. We do offer concession rates for those in genuine need.

As of 16/03/2020 MMC reduced access to our site in order to support the physical isolation required to limit the spread of covid-19. Effectively limiting the spread could reduce the death rate from a potential 4-5% to .5%.

All onsite visitors must wear a face covering. If you don’t have your own, you may purchase one for $2 on arrival.
We are being particularly careful of vulnerable groups:
Over 50 ATSI
Parent of child under 12 months
Immuno suppressed or compromised
Chronic health issues
If you are amongst these groups, please self-isolate and ask your community for help if you need it. If you’re not sure if you’re vulnerable, please call us so we can help.
Regarding Covid-19 testing:
If you have flu-like symptoms, please make sure you attend your local public hospital for a free covid test BEFORE you attend our site. You don’t need a referral and you will have your results in around 24 hrs. You will need evidence of your negative test to attend your onsite appointment. Self-isolate and ring us on 4968 2157 for assistance.
To reduce the chance of exposure, we are asking patients who drive here to remain in their cars and call us on arrival; we will let you know when to enter the building. If you are arriving by public transport please call us before you enter. You might go for a stroll or sit on our seat outside, keeping 1.5 metres away from other people whilst you wait to be called in. You must wear a face covering to attend onsite. You may purchase one for $2 on arrival if you don’t have your own.
Even if you are young and fit, it is important to limit your exposure to other people during this crucial time, you don’t want to be responsible for infecting your or someone else’s grandparent, baby or immuno compromised loved one.
Remember, only telehealth initially for existing patients unless our doctor recommends otherwise. Please call if you need assistance. All patients who fit the Government criteria will be bulk billed phone appointments. Other patients will be privately billed as per our usual billing schedule.
