About the GPs and GP Registrars consulting at MMC

General Practitioners

All GPs who work from MMC are Independent Health Practitioners which means that MMC provides administration support and facilities to them. Each GP effectively runs their own business and MMC supports them to do so. As part of professional standards, GPs will collaborate on your care.

GP Registrars

MMC has a commitment not just to the current GPs and the local community, but also to the future of both. GP Registrars are employees and are qualified doctors who are trainees in the specialty of general practice. GP Registrars have a nominated GP Supervisor at MMC. GP Registrars change centres every 6 to 12 months as a requirement of their training.
