Dr Watkins is now accepting a limited number of new patients – with the stipulation of only new patients to the practice. Appointments must be booked by calling the practice on 49682157.
We want to be transparent from the outset: Dr Watkins will be concluding her time with our practice in February 2026. However, this provides an excellent opportunity for you to establish care and then transition smoothly to one of our continuing practitioners – Dr Shafiq Rahman or Dr Ethan Boyd – both of whom are committed to building their patient relationships and will have full access to your care history with Dr Watkins.
For female patients requiring women’s health services, our experienced female nurses can provide well-women checks and work closely with our male GPs to ensure comprehensive, comfortable care.

As a GP in Newcastle, Dr Isabel Watkins has worked throughout the Hunter New England region since completing her medical degree in Armidale. Dr Watkins enjoys all aspects of general practice and holds a special interest in children’s health and skin cancer management, performing minor surgical procedures including; biopsies, cryotherapy and small excisions at MMC.
She has competed the Sydney Children’s Hospital certificate in Paediatrics and is currently studying with Dermatology Australasia completing the Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family, travel, and bush walking.
