Our History

Positioned on Hanbury Street, across from Mayfield Mex Club, the site has housed the practice of expert General Practitioners and has been operating since around 1938. It is now under the ownership of Mayfieldians Chris and Kath Teagle.

Following a carefully planned expansion and growth to restore it to its former glory, Mayfield Medical Connection (MMC) has increased the number of doctors and practitioners consulting from the site and the services they offer. MMC supports the practice of general practitioners, allied and complementary health practitioners. We also support pathology collection and lab services to the local community and local industry, including pre-employment checks and drug and hazardous substance testing.

We have been careful to  maintain the friendly feel of the site.  Our team on the front desk know most of the GPs’ patients by name and also know their families and their ups and downs. We are privileged to work in a tight knit community and will always offer a personal touch and genuine welcome to the patients that seek the help of the experts that work from MMC.

The surgery has been recently renovated with purpose built surgeries and treatment rooms allowing the practitioners that work from MMC to service more of the community and invite more allied health professionals to share our space extending the current internal referral system.

Keep up to date with what is going on at Mayfield Medical Connection by checking in here from time to time.

Our Brand

At Mayfield Medical Connection we get asked about our logo a lot! We love sharing how we wanted our logo to reflect our approach to patient care.

The Symbol

The stylised symbol represents many things!

The centre depict parts of the body such as the heart and brain with the outgoing lines reflecting the circulatory and nervous systems.

The image also refers to the dandelion, used medicinally for centuries. The dandelion is reflective of a small idea which, buoyed by the wind of inspiration and passion while tempered with education and care can seed in virtually any condition, fertile or not to bear a viable crop. A crop with a long tap root which aerates compacted soil and returns nutrients to the surface making them available for other plants less geared for survival. One dandelion head holds enough seeds to propagate a whole area and can use the wind to cast the seeds far and wide…the growth from there is exponential.
